What I Create

  • Contemporary fused glass art created by layering, melting, and shaping glass in the kiln to produce richly textured, one-of-a-kind pieces. Each work explores color, light, and form through a modern handcrafted process.

  • Custom glass designs created in collaboration with clients, including one-of-a-kind commissions, functional pieces, and decorative installations. Each project is thoughtfully designed and handcrafted to reflect individual vision and space.

  • Handcrafted stained glass designs that blend traditional techniques with a contemporary aesthetic. These pieces highlight line, color, and transparency, bringing warmth and character to both functional and decorative works.

  • Delicate glass elements formed by shaping molten glass in an open flame using lampworking techniques. This process allows for intricate details, organic forms, and expressive accents within larger glass compositions.

  • Hands-on glass art classes and workshops in fused glass, stained glass, mosaics, and related techniques for all experience levels. Seasonal offerings are available in Bonita Springs, Florida and Clayton, New York, with one-day and multi-day options.

Meet the Artist

Susan Berry has been a glass artist for over forty years and has taught at Arts Bonita for the past six years. Her love of glass began with a year-long study in stained glass and later warm glass technique, to include glass fusing and bead making. In the summer months, Susan teaches stained glass and mosaic classes at the Thousand Islands Art Center (TIAC) in Clayton NY and was the first-place recipient of the Catherine C. Johnson award for her submission to Along the River’s Edge exhibit.

Recently, Susan was the Spotlight Artist for the TIAC and her interview can be found on YouTube.
